Ivan Savvidi Took Part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF)

Russia’s major economic conference was held under the slogan “Time to Act: Shared Paths to Stability and Growth”.

SPIEF-2015 gathered more than 6 thousand participants including more than 1700 businessmen from Russia and 61 countries of the world. According to the organizing committee of the Forum, 178 presidents of the largest foreign companies and 505 Russian businessmen confirmed their participation. Hundreds of contracts were signed, with total volume of investment more than 300 billion RUBLES.

Greek delegation took an active role in the Forum: President of Russia Vladimir Putin held conversations with Prime Minister of Greece Alexis Tsipras, was signed Russian-Greek memorandum about cooperation on building and exploitation of gas pipe line keeping with the theme of ‘Turkish stream”, were held negotiations with Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Arkady Dvorkovich about possible cooperation in food sector, were organized roundtable discussions with participation of Russian and Greek businessmen.

Commenting on results of the SPIEF-2015 Ivan Savvidi said:

“Reports made on the Forum confirmed the fact that world economy now is on the lookout for new paradigm of development. And force which will determine global world order in 21st century depends not only on resources of local economic, but on strategic cooperation between countries. Greece was announced as Russia’s official partner. I strongly believe that common mentality, history and age-old ties between nations should lie at the heart of strategic alliance.
